Well the time has come to depart from Cocoa Beach. We are just about to leave.... bringing the last loads to the car and kissing Great Grandmother and Granddaddy. It has been a wonderful and beautiful time here together as a family.
I wanted to quick fill you in with Daniel and Ranger School. Today is Day 12 of Phase One... one more week left until we are together for his 8 hour pass!! Those 8 hours will be like manna from Heaven, and what encouragement they bring to these final days of Phase One. Just knowing I will see my Husband in a week keeps my spirits high, "my jaw set", and my eyes ever on our King.
These days Daniel is doing patrols and missions. He is being graded now, so please continue to pray for sound wisdom and discretion as he leads. Also pray that he will be a "team player" and help his squad mates as they lead. Meredith has an inside contact... (her neighbor's husband is actually one of their instructors!) so she found out that Daniel will actually be doing his Airborne jump tomorrow! SO... we are going to try and see him jump! Just to be within a mile of each other will be such a wonderful blessing. But to actually see him, perhaps, walking by after he jumps will be the balm of Gilead.
Please pray that Daniel will be safe on his jump. Before he left he was nervous about it: saying that it was just another chance for injury. We appreciate your prayers for physical protection, most especially his knee as he jumps. Thank you!!
