Day 3

Hope you are having a great start to your week!  Tirzah and I ventured on a new running route this morning and absolutely loved it.  Goodness it was so cool!! 71 degrees this morning!  We have not felt it this cool for a long while and the breeze refreshed my soul.  A fellow walker this morning said tomorrow morn will be 67 degrees!  Maybe this means that the hot summer will be coming to an end soon??!...

Tirzah is napping now after I accidentally woke her up with the food processor making spinach pesto.  Meredith and Anna are coming over for dinner tonight, to carry on the weekly tradition.  Marlene has fondly named our dinner dates: "Manna Mondays!" (Meredith and Anna combined.  And what a gift from Heaven they are indeed! :))

Here is what Daniel is doing today in Dahlonega, GA:

"The beginning of this day will start with the knots and belay system test.  You will be tested on your ability to execute all of the knots you learned yesterday... AFter the tests are complete, you will receive a class and a practical exercise on a one-rope bridge and a V-haul.  A V-haul is a rope suspensions system that you will use to transport personnel and supplies up and down the mountain.  These two classes are important for you will have to execute both of these tasks during graded patrols."

I forgot to write about the numbers of Daniel's class size!  This is what a stud he is:

* His Ranger Class which started with 300 men is now down to 116

*His company, which started at 100 men is now down to 33

Praise the Lord that His favor has surrounded Daniel as with a shield
