Did He really do that for me? For me He suffered?
For the joy set before Him, He endured the Cross...
To think that I am that joy, that we are His joy.
The joy that enabled Him to meet the cross straight on, that enabled Him to spread His innocent arms wide, that joy was us. And the fact that the other side of that cross provided reconciliation with us.
Yesterday, Easter, I rose with a light heart and the World all ablaze in His light.
There was abundant sunshine yesterday, as if the sun itself were a symbol of His Resurrection. Indeed, the stone has been rolled away! Indeed, we beneath His light now! Indeed, the whole World is alive because of His Resurrection.
This Resurrection, this one and only resurrection, is the greatest Provision of all.
Someone had to pay the price, and He volunteered. "Send Me." And because He was sent, we now, are all free.
Freedom. The greatest Provision
Because of the Cross and because of His Resurrection, I can freely give thanks for all the little provisions that pale in comparison to His Lifeblood, but that yet still bring life to my bones and a smile to my face:
My husband Daniel.
Our lifelong commitment to one another
The way he is with her
The way he works so faithfully to provide for our family: how he has worked his way to a promotion! Now a 1st Lieutenant!
We were able to take part in the ceremony too! We ripped off his 2nd LT tab and Tirzah threw it to the ground (she was supposed to!), and then sealed the deal with a kiss! |
Tirzah in all her beauty and sweetness of spirit.
Her purity, on every day, but most especially on Resurrection day
YAY! Congratulations!
