976. The word PRESERVE coming to mind about this upcoming season of our lives, and then finding a picture of mason jars filled with Earth's bounty. Both of these used on the first page of my new journal. And then receiving the gift of this verse, the exact psalm we will be praying over Daniel and his men:
The Lord PRESERVES the faithful. (Psalm 31:23)
977. Tirzah's freckles! She has just a handful, right below her eyes and across her precious button nose
978. New life celebrated just five doors up! Our neighbors welcomed their precious boy on Monday evening
979. Mini yellow roses
980. How she observes so well
981. Yet another new friend at the park!
982. Hummingbird's visit at the window
983. A nest! Tucked into the corner where the pillar meets the awning
984. Baking with her again. Pulling up the highchair to the drawer with all her kitchen toys. A little flour for Mam's bowl a little flour for Tirzah's bowl...
985. Washing dishes with her for the first time! We simply pulled the highchair over to sit in front of the sink and a new world was discovered. She loves washing dishes! Oh to study the intricacies of bubbles during morning chores
986. Our first real afternoon tea party together: gingerbread and orange spice tea. How she loved the tea!
988. She set a picnic (we had a blanket on the floor to catch all the flour and other ingredients that feel from her baking station. When we had finished baking, she was walking here and there around the house and when I looked back at the blanket, she had set her plate out like it was a regular ole picnic!)
989. Homemade gingerbread with a little crunch
990. A faithful family who waits (written by my Beloved)
991. My husband bringing home a fancy bottle of wine, just because
992. Beholding a new Mama all snuggled warm on the couch with her son
993. Dreaming with him in the early morning light; sipping our coffee together
994. New window seat for morning devotions
995. Her, adventuring by herself across the big field. Talking sweet nothings to herself all the while
996. That girl, with her bow strapped across her back, riding her bike to her perfect little reading spot
998. Laundry hung and yogurt made
999. The Rock by the park: a constant visual reminder the You are our Rock
1000. Studying seashells together: her perched on my lap and her smell so close. Her little hand reaching into that blue mason jar to bring up just one more
1001. Sunshine, a back scratch, and my husbands embrace all in the same moment
1002. Her face as she ate a raw potato
1003. How her whole body shuddered with the tartness of a lemon
1004. When she turns around to wave bye bye
1005. A morning walk through the garden together
1006. Her, all bent over in search of her bebo (belly button!)
Fawn! Oh my goodness, I was thinking of you today and googled your name to find YOUR BLOG! I'm so happy to see you face, and the face of that precious little one. How are you? Where are you? I would love to re-connect. Our little ladies need to be friends.
