So I think every Tuesday I will post pictures from the garden and then write the gifts from the wee as we count down this deployment.
Enjoy!

So this is as you walk out the back door and look to the right. I just sowed some wildflowers and just a few pushed through today! On the top row there are wildflowers, and then down below, they are sown all the way to the right, with a walking path for laundry next to that; then another sown section and yet another walking path. Is there anything more simplistic in beauty than a patch of wildflowers and laundry hung to dry? |

This little patch is right below our kitchen. I hadn't a mind to plant anything here, but when my Mom and Dad bought those lovely lawn chairs for me, I thought it would be wonderful to relax and delight in yet another patch of wildflowers. They were sown last week when my Mama was still here. |

My gardening work for today! One tomato plant all the way on the left, which we purchased from our CSA. Then basil plants in the middle and cheery calendula to the right. I will repeat this pattern to the left of the tomato plant and I am thinking it will be just gorgeous! |

Our carrots! (I need to thin them out, but it is exciting! With a little homesteading compost too! |
 |
Our potato patch! |

Here we have a little wildflower patch followed by our row of sugar snap peas. I just tied some twine from the little green fence up to the big gray fence in hopes that these little guys will have somewhere to climb. |
