Here is What I'm LOVING today!

LOVING harvesting carrots.  More and more carrots!

Absolutely LOVING these two carrots!  This is how they came out of the ground!  Wound and twisted together, like a heart.  Just perfect for our garden!  Sown and grown in LOVE

LOVING blanching and freezing cabbage right now, while working on the blog and sipping a glass of White Zin.

LOVING that the bugs that are in our house are only fleas!  I had a fright that they might be bed bugs, but just fleas.  I can handle those!  I have been seeing them and seeing evidence of them (ie bites on just me) for the past few days and the exterminator finally came today.  Just fleas it seems!  So we are going to bomb them tomorrow to see if they will leave this place.  I have felt so gross and dirty!  Yuck.

LOVING going to visit the Nease family tomorrow.  We will be staying with them for the next 3 nights and then. . .

absolutely LOVING going to Galiano Island with Michael and Danae for the next 4 nights!  We have such an adventure ahead of us.  Needless to say I probably won't find the time to write, but I look forward to getting pictures up when we return from the Island: a flock of sheep, chickens, and a huge garden await us there.  We can't wait!

LOVING the gorgeous weather of Washington these past few days.  80 today!  I don't know if this is normal for September, but I am taking it with a huge offering of thanks!

LOVING skyping with Anna and Meredith the other morning.

LOVING planting spinach and kale this afternoon; LOVING using our compost.  I haven't checked it in a while and it is amazing the process.  If I can be completely honest: we have amazing compost.  Let me know if you need any. . .

LOVING going for a picnic dinner with Alison and Lucy this evening.  LOVING the live music on the grassy knoll and LOVING chocolate dipped frozen bananas rolled in chocolate sprinkles as a treat.

LOVING this picture of Tirzah.  My friend Jori captured it; check out her photography website here.  She is amazing.

Always and forever I am LOVING my husband and my Soldier, my hero of whom I am so proud
