Each month our family chooses a hymn to sing each and every night after dinner. We try and commit it to memory and how sweet it is to have the words in our hearts and minds throughout each day... Throughout the month. And even more beautiful: to hear Tirzah singing to herself as she fake asleep or as she wakes or as she plays by herself. It is remarkable to hear her grow in understanding and memory as the month goes on; she is able to complete each line, if not more by the end of the month ( like if Daniel and I stop singing, she can say the correct word that follows next).
Well this month, we chose a hymn from the Christ's resurrection section of the hymnal, In the Garden. Absolutely beautiful.
Listen to
Watermark's rendition of this hymn
here, and see some encouraging verses as well!
I thought in celebration of this months hymn, I would take you with me on a walk through he garden of Washington, for its beauty is like none other. I had no idea of the grandeur before we lived here, and my desire is to pass just of touch of it on to you this night. It is gorgeous: come and visit us!
