Whew!

A quiet moment, finally!  Just a touch of time to write. . .

Our past two weeks have been filled to the brim with much laughter and love, family and fun- pictures to share in a few days. . .

But perhaps a post to fill you in on these past months? In a nutshell:

Remember walking through the decision of whether to nanny?  And also the decision of whether to be a part of the BSF leadership team?  Well I decided yes to both and what blessings came from each!  Ryder, the little boy I nannied, quickly became one of the family and he was with us every day of the work week.  He was and still remains Tirzah's best friend and the two of them became like siblings.  How well they played together!  We miss Ryder and Tirzah still talks of him to everyone here in Savannah. . .

Daniel finished up with the unit in Ft. Lewis, going from Platoon Leader to Reconnaissance Platoon Leader, a more specialized platoon within the unit.  He left the unit with large shoes to fill. . . even parted from a few of his soldiers as they had tears in their eyes and told Daniel he was the one who had taught them to be a man. . .

We moved out of the house where Beginnings Farm took place to another home within the Olympia area.  The children and I (meaning Ryder and Tirzah) couldn't shake a cough for several months and I continued to get cold after cold after sinus infection after cold with not a break in between which was highly abnormal for me.  Turns out, we think, the house had mold AND several rodents to go alongside.  We decided for the health of the family and it would be best to move and how wonderful the Lord was to provide a place quickly and easily!  So yes, that would make that 3 houses that we lived in while we were in Washington...

After Thaddaeus was born, Daniel went to RASP or basically the try-out for the Ranger Regiment.  During those 3 weeks, my mom as well as Marlene came to help so that I didn't have to be alone yet with the two children.  We had a wonderful time soaking up all that Olympia had to offer.  We are so blessed to have family who supports us and seeks to serve us in all things!

And lastly, a quick update on us...

Tirzah.  Is such a delight to all who meet her.  She knows not a stranger and has enough personality for our whole family to share!  She runs everywhere, up and down the hallways, is quick to go to her kitchen to whip up some play-dough soup, is such a thoughtful older sister, and has an amazing vocabulary.  She is quite compassionate, especially with the "boo-boos" of others and she is really growing in being more aware of those around her and their needs.  Most importantly: she has asked Jesus to be her Savior!!!  At a morning tea party around Miss Druids coffee table, sweet Tirzah asked Jesus to come into her heart!  It was the very day we moved into our new home here!

Thaddaeus.  Just turned five months and he is such a sweet sweet gift to our family.  He is all smiles and giggles and oh my how strong he is!  He has been the best baby ever, so chill and so relaxed.  He loves his sister and is unfazed by most everything.  He is rolling over, sleeping on his tummy, uses a pacifier and a hand-made blankie, and has just started eating mashed bananas in the high chair Daniel lovingly made for our children.

Daniel.  Is loving the schedule provided by the Rangers... such a blessing as he is able to come home for both breakfast and lunch!  He loves the caliber of people here at the regiment as well.  He is loving all things water down here in the South... shrimping and fishing and the likes!  He and his friend Tommy caught several sharks last week on their fishing adventures...  He loves to dream of farming as we both still desire greatly to do so even after our adventures in Olympia.

Me.  I really am loving it here in Savannah.  I am so thankful for the friends we have already met and am so thankful for sunshine every day after the rainy weather of the PNW.  I am getting so excited about the "Real Foods" movement, meaning we are eating bacon every morning and I am in search of a raw milk source here in GA!  I can't wait to write about new recipes and new ways about the kitchen.

Have a blessed evening!
