Family visit in Pensacola

Tirzah, Mom, & I returned yesterday from a short visit to Pensacola, Florida, where my Mom's family is living.  We had a chance to see Grandmom and Granddad... Tirzah's Great Grandparents, and were able to celebrate 4 generations of women!  Praise the Lord!

We were also able to visit with both my Mom's older brother and younger brother.  Uncle Robin came to lunch with the Grandparents and then we had a pool & pizza party with Uncle Kip and his wife Mary.

Yesterday morning we shared a delicious breakfast with our cousins: Brett and his wife Andy along with their 2 beloved children Audrey and Jake.  Aunt Carol and her new fiancé George were also there to celebrate.  I have not seen that side of my family for 8-10 years, so it was wonderful to rekindle those relationships.

Thank you for your prayers over our visit, it went well.

Tomorrow Mom and I (and Meredith too!) are taking Tirzah on her first plane ride!  We would appreciate your prayers over this adventure as well.  I KNOW the Lord will do amazing things and that she will do so well flying, but it is such momentous occasion for the Little One.  As Mom says, "it will be her first of many!"  But, what joys await our landing in Colorado.  First, seeing Poppop will be there, and second, Uncle Michael will be there for a night!  Uncle Michael and Tirzah have yet to meet, but I know at first glimpse they will be such good friends.  Mom can't wait to see Tirzah pull on Michael's long curly hair... (here is a picture of Uncle Michael at our wedding)

Then on Thursday, all my girlfriends from College are coming for our annual reunion!  Oh I CAN NOT wait!  There are 3 baby girls in the group, Jaedalyn, Tirzah, and little baby Kennedy who is just 6 weeks old now.  Next year though, Praise the Lord, there will be 6 babies as 3 of my friends are with child even now!! Pretty soon Babies will out number Mamas!  But what blessings abound for our group of friends.  We all met our freshman year of College and have grown closer and closer each year.  This will be our 2nd annual reunion and I know sweet memories will be made.  We are hoping for just a relaxing time together: you can imagine us sitting closely in our comfies, talking, laughing, probably crying together too.  There will most certainly always be a grand feast before us as we all love to eat! (especially with 3 of them pregnant!!)  I can guarantee there will be lots of peanut butter m&m's enjoyed, as well as cheese, crackers, and for those of us who can, wine.  Ice cream, decaf coffee, and sweet potato fries there will be as well.  And who knows, maybe to satisfy the Mothers' cravings: pickles, bagels, and good old fashioned doughnuts.

Daniel is in his 2nd 5 day graded FTX, so your prayers can continue for him.  Mountain Phase will be finished this Friday!!!  Hopefully I will be getting a call from him at the end of this week saying if he passed.  I am going crazy just thinking about hearing his voice!
