We made it!!

Here is what I'm Loving on this Wednesday in Columbus, GA:

LOVING that we saw Daniel today!!!  We picked him up at 5 and had five tremendous hours together.  Oh what a gift they were!  What's even better is that we get 10 hours together tomorrow!  He is doing so well: handsome as ever, thankful for what he learned at Ranger School, thankful for having had the opportunity to go to Ranger School, but also thankful that it is over!

LOVING what a man Daniel is.  I LOVE my husband!!  He is a mighty man of God and I am so proud of him.

LOVING all of Tirzah's new tricks!  Here is a cute little video showing her CRAWLING!!!  She is still in the fine tuning process... but she is getting it down.  LOVE her little funny face that she does at the beginning and LOVE that she waves now!

LOVING all the new furniture!  Long story short: my grandparents' homestead in Pennsylvania is being sold and we wanted to keep some of the furniture in the family.  So my Dad, along with my Aunt & Uncle, worked so hard to move the furniture to Greg and Marlene's house in Virginia.  Greg and Marlene stored it there for several weeks, and then Tirzah and I brought some of it back with us when we returned on Monday.  I am ever so thankful.  But the best part of the whole process was Monday night.  It was our last Manna Monday and Anna & Meredith were kind enough to help me move all the furniture in.  We delighted in a frozen pizza (delicious spinach, mushroom, and garlic combo...) and had a move in party.  My favorite was when Anna and Meredith redecorated the whole living room for me while I was on the phone!  I just stood in the kitchen and watched the transformation take place before my very eyes.  What a gift it was!

LOVING the old ironing board as the side table

LOVING the recliner! This is actually my favorite piece.  I was going to get Daniel a recliner for a Ranger School gift... so this works out perfectly!! (And he LOVED it today!  I led him in with his eyes closed, sat him down, propped up his feet, and pushed it all the way back.  Absolute perfection)

LOVING the old adding machine, leather bound chair, and huge ceramic holder

LOVING the cozy little reading nook

LOVING my best friend, my hero, & my RANGER!!

  1. What wonderful things to be loving! I LOVE the decorations, your home looks great. The vintage ironing board reminds me of one of my favorite blogs I just read:

  2. Daniel and Fawn,
So glad to hear that the Lord was so faithful! Chris has read all the posts about Daniel's experiences and smiled knowingly. I remember when you chatted with Chris years ago now (I think we are at your grandparent's cabin) about how this was a goal you had, and now you have done it! HOOAH! Ranger's lead the way! So proud of you from Germany.
