These past days have been the greatest joy to our family.  Daniel has had 4 days off for Columbus Day and we have made the most of every moment!

Highlights of our days have included, of course, eating.  We delighted in green beans and pumpkin cookies

we went on 3 picnics, one after a run at our favorite park

and one with Meredith at Flat Rock Park

I LOVE picnics.  I love being outside and filing my lungs with the pure air.  I  love opening my eyes to see God's creation in all of it's glory.  I love breaking bread with loved ones and I love the adventurous anticipation that accompanies any picnic.


These past few days we also went for horsey back rides

resurrected the game of Cribbage

delighted in the dove family that is enjoying the bird seed (the suet is not their favorite, unfortunately.  We have seen some squirrels eating it, but no birds),

and we found Tirzah's new favorite play area: the kitchen sink.
