LOVING my new CAbi sweater that Marlene bought me as a Ranger Graduation present. It was absolutely perfect for a fall-day like today
LOVING my craft date today with my friend Alison. Daniel and Tirzah had a little Daddy-Daughter date here at home after they sent me off on "Mama's play-date". Alison hosted the most wonderful time. We drank pumpkin spiced coffee around her table. All the craft materials for our wreaths were provided and placed. Warm, fresh maple bread was served, and delightful conversation went round.
Alison truly inspired me today with her gift of crafting. Often times I don't allow myself the time to craft: I feel as if it isn't purposeful. I know this is a lie, but I feel it when I start to paint, or scrap book, or even work on a home decor project. I have all these ideas and the thought of taking the time to enjoy myself in this creativity is bliss. But when it actually comes down to it, it doesn't feel right. I feel guilty, almost. But today, today was different. I LOVED making the craft with Alison.
My husband and I LOVE our new favorite "restoring" space. He, kicked back and reclined in his green chair, and I sitting close by with my legs propped on top of his. I LOVE being able to look out the window to all the glories of the back hill. He LOVES having the ability to fully recline. I LOVE the candles to the right and to the left; we both LOVE our close proximity. It's perfect!
I'm LOVING the new thoughts the Lord gave me about creating: as written earlier, I love doing artsy activities, but I don't allow myself to do them for I feel it isn't purposeful. But, in so doing, I am creating beauty and that is an "made in HIS image" gift. We are His ONLY creation that can create... it is a revealing of God's identity to create, call it good, call it beautiful. When we create beauty, we are digging deeper into the heart of God. Whether it be writing, painting, felt wreaths, a beautiful meal, we enter into the Lord and KNOW Him for He is Beauty itself.

LOVING this homemade pesto recipe that a homemaking friend of Renee passed on:
2 C spinach
1/3 C fresh basil leaves
1/3 C grated parmesan cheese
1/2 C olive oil
1 clove garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Use a blender or food processor to puree it all together. (Freezes well in ice cube trays for easy access)
LOVING the pesto fingerprints that Tirzah left on the table.
LOVING that Tirzah loves pesto...
LOVING both a Blue Jay and a Cardinal eating together out back
Daniel is LOVING the days of limited responsibility, LOVING tending to his wife and daughter (he does so well), and LOVING vanilla wafers dipped in Nutella
Tirzah is LOVING sleeping
and I am forever and always LOVING my best friend, my Soldier, my husband
