Lime Sherbet with Polk -a- dots

Here is What I'm LOVING on this cozy, blustery, wintery day in DuPont, Washington:

LOVING that Daniel had a snow day today!  Seriously!  Imagine that... a RANGER did not have to go to work because of the snow!  It was such a gift to have him home in the middle of the week.  Tirzah and I are relishing these moments with him.


LOVING Tirzah's first real encounter with the snow (I say real because she has indeed had an encounter with snow... last year, about 4 days after she was born Chicago was hit with a huge storm!  But, being the precious newborn bundle of delight that she was, she, nor her Mama, played in the snow!  So, this is her first real playful encounter with this beautiful, fluffy, frost from Heaven.)

Of course, she LOVES eating it!!

But the poor baby girl got so cold we had to bring the snow inside...

LOVING her first sledding experience!  (We can't quite figure if she was LOVING it as well or if she just didn't know what to make of it)

LOVING Tirzah's sled.  Did you notice it?  A brilliant idea from her Daddy: a trash can top and a jump rope.  Absolutely the perfection of fun.

LOVING the sunsets here in Washington.  Our front windows face the West and it seems that every night is another display of His grandeur.  It is absolutely amazing that no two sunsets will ever be the same!

LOVING the handmade Christmas gift from Marlene and Renee!  Truly, look at this perfection!  They made this jacket and the matching hat: Lime Sherbet with polk -a -dots for the little Princess here

LOVING dreaming with my husband... hand-cranked grain mills and roasting our own coffee beans...

LOVING our first date with friends tonight!  Our neighbors just up the way have invited us for a snowy-day game night tonight after dinner.  We are bringing the homemade hot chocolate and we will let you know what games we play.

Daniel is LOVING improvised sleds, long snow runs, creek explorations, and good books.
