LOVING the past year nursing our daughter. What a privilege it was to nourish her. Alas, yesterday morning on her first birthday, was our last time nursing. She has grown up too much for that now. She wasn't getting that much anymore, but I still wanted to hold her so close. And then she started biting... so it was time. Daniel was the sweetest and most tender, writing Tirzah a birthday letter to be read aloud by Mama during our last time together. Of course, salty tears dripped onto her cheeks as she looked up at me, gave me her quizzical look, and then pulled off to go adventuring somewhere else. Indeed, it was time to move on. And I have LOVED that time.
LOVING pictures from her special day yesterday
LOVING how she LOVES macaroni and cheese, even for her 1st birthday dinner
and how she LOVED her first milkshake
LOVING that her hair is now long enough to hold a clip!
LOVING the simple change in our kitchen: removing the cabinet doors on the two cupboards on either side of the sink.
LOVING the coffee mug Michael and Danae gave me for my 26th Birthday. I LOVE the beauty of the colors. I LOVE the hand-knitted holder. I LOVE the corked top. I LOVE using it every morning and how it reminds me that we are indeed jars of clay
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us"
2 Corinthians 4:7
LOVING that our neighbors joined our CSA, so now every Wednesday is a car-trip-veggie-pick-up-date with Melissa
LOVING an invitation for a first play-date tomorrow
LOVING this new blog that Daniel found for me
LOVING that Michael, Danae, and their dog Elliott are coming on Saturday evening to celebrate Tirzah's birthday!
as always, I am LOVING my Husband, my Provider, my Soldier, and the one who holds her hand
