Steeped in grace

Manna.  Grace.  Today.
Just for today.

In what ways have you seen His provision today?

On this Monday, our little family has been nourished by the grace and goodness of the Lord.  Let me share a few with you:

Sunshine on this first day of our first long week back to work

A walk (what an adventure as trees are broken all over the trails due to the heavy snow)

Broken life becoming new life (tree branches as our centerpiece in our island and to dress up our curtains!  What do you think... truly?)

Food for a dinner party of 6

A beautiful, growing year with Tirzah

Time to write much needed thank you notes

A new appreciation for our homemade high-chair

A wonderful conversation with Hillary

Our souls have been nourished with His grace in moments.  Our bodies are also nourished with the food He provides daily

Today in the Shear 3 household, we are Baking:

2 loaves of Best Brown Bread

1 batch of Cranberry Almond Biscotti (with a few changes... used Blueberry flavored Craisins, as that was all the Commissary had, and substituted raw sugar, as that was all Shears3 pantry had.  We shall see what Daniel thinks of them!)

For our dinner party this evening we will serve:

Country-Style Crockpot Pork Ribs
Cast Iron Cornbread
Roasted Red Potatoes
Cowboy Green Beans

And tomorrow.  Tomorrow.  Our sweet baby girl turns 1 year old!  It is hard to believe that already a year with her has come and gone.  But oh how this year was steeped in unfailing love and grace!  We will look back over this year together as a family and celebrate Life.  Blueberry pancakes are first in order, I do believe.  And because I would appreciate a day all about food, I thought my daughter might as well.  Pancakes, cookie dough, and whatever else the Little Bit might desire for tomorrow.  Madeleines and a tea party on Sunday to celebrate with Aunt & Uncle.

"Thank Heaven for little girls."
