Seed gardening

Here is What I'm Loving today!

LOVING cool oatmeal baths for Tirzah, to calm and soothe her itchy little body that is slowly becoming covered with Chicken Pox

LOVING that she still maintains the sweetest little disposition

LOVING weeding in my red rain boots

LOVING the sunshine

LOVING this deer skin!  Greg and Marlene brought is as a surprise for Daniel: this is from the doe he got on their property over Thanksgiving!  We celebrated their visit and this surprise with the last of the venison in a delicious Venison Chili on the Sabbath

LOVING starting seedlings together!  This is our first attempt!  It will be more of an experimental year, but we can hardly wait to see if our efforts will bring forth fruit.  LOVING what the Botanical Interests Seed Starting packet stated:

"Seed gardening is the most rewarding type of gardening!  To take a small, dormant capsule of life and unlock its culinary and aesthetic potential is glorious indeed!"

LOVING Rosemary, Carrots,  Chamomile, Pumpkins, Oregano, Chives, Delicata Honey Boats, Green Peppers, Watermelon

LOVING the adventure of yesterday: treating ourselves to a Gluten-Free bakery and also a new Co-Op in downtown Seattle.  About that... my headaches are still a daily occurrence.  Tracing back to their beginning: when we began grinding our own flour.  I have thought perhaps I have a slight gluten intolerance or wheat allergy?  So, on Monday I started a Gluten-Free diet (just for a week or so to see if it makes a difference).  Yesterday we bought buckwheat groats to grind, lots of brown rice to grind to flour, and also garbanzo beans to grind.  Tirzah and I made some delicious Buckwheat Pancakes this morn, which we LOVED, so maybe this will be the start to a new lifestyle... ?

LOVING that Auntie Renee comes tomorrow!

LOVING these gifts that are endless:

894.  Laughter on the couch

895.  Marlene dashing to the door before the doorbell rang and in so doing, scaring the woman and her daughter at the door

896.  Homemade chicken broth

897.  The birds' song

898.  Egg shells on laundry room window ledge

900.  Cuts on index fingers

903. Long naps on the couch

904.  She slept through the night!

905.  an 8:20 wake-up for her... more than I ever could have imagined on the eve of her Chicken Pox

910.  Friends who serve

911.  First yellow bud on Broom Stick bush

914.  Rocking her all tightly wrapped for two straight hours

915.  Doors that have ceased to squeak

As always, I am LOVING my best friend, the one with whom I LOVE to dream
