I come every morning during the week and sit upon the window seat.  This seat is actually my Father's trunk which he used in College.  A beautiful cedar trunk now turned into a place to rest.  With pillows a small lamp and my books and journal, I come and gather.

On this morn, this Manna Monday morning, I came and gathered these truths.  And it is to these truths that I cling today.  These truths teach me more about Him and with these truths I am reminded that always He provides, albeit in mysterious ways.  These truths help me to remember and thus to see again clearly the present way I am walking.  Walking and hoping and always believing.

From the story in Matthew 8 when Jesus calms the storm:

Verse: 24 "Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat.  But Jesus was sleeping.  The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us!  We're going to drown!"

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"

Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves and it was completely calm.

Jesus is Commander of the whole Universe.

All of Creation listens and obeys Him!

Nothing is too large for Him and how desperately He desires us to trust, to believe, and to call upon Him.

He can calm a raging storm and make it be still.  He can walk on water.  He can make us walk on water too.  He can hold the sun in it's place simply because He was asked (Joshua 10:13).

And so, in this too, this season of our lives, this season of your lives, He can and He will.

Once again I leave the cedar trunk and I leave the crocheted blanket and I leave the Word of God and I step into the day.  Not only nourished by His words but nourished by His gifts.  His gifts of moments where I see and know and remember that He is near and that there is always grace

for just this day

Putting Mom to work at the grinder!

For you to pray:
I received an email from Daniel the other night saying God had been so gracious and good.  They arrived to their outpost today and he asked for earnest and continuous prayer.  Thank you!!
