Growing in Thanks

This is the combo of tomato, basil, marigold.  I harvested the marigold flowers which are drying even now in the cupboard.  I have no idea what I will use them for, but they smell delightful!

Can you see the little onion in the middle there??!

This is our little carrot patch!

Our potatoes are growing lots!

Snap peas!

Week 5 of deployment

Indeed!  Now that sounds like an accomplishment. . . 5 weeks done!! Yay!

Tuesday: Having the ladies over for our dinner party.  Pizza!

Wednesday: Going to the bluff this evening, the one that overlooks the water.  It was all awash in sunshine and was just gorgeous.  And Tirzah was crawling through the weeds like Elliott! You could just barely make out her head above the grass.

Thursday: Making a very successful snack stop at Trader Joe's

Friday:  The beautiful evening and my first time grilling!  Indeed, I did it!  Taught by Daniel and guided by Greg, the flank steak turned out!!

Sorry to put pictures of raw meat on here... but I was just so excited that I actually did it!!

Saturday: Going to the DuPont beach this morn and putting our feet in the water.  Also, throwing rocks together, into the water.

Sunday:  Church was a picnic instead of a service and I loved playing with Tirzah on the inflatable slide and obstacle course!  I would awkwardly slide over the side while holding Tirzah, would fumble up the steep incline and then would place her at the top of the slide and run around to meet me at the bottom.  She kept saying: more! more!  Truly, I was worn out after!!

Monday:  Absolutely delighting in one of the books my sweet friend Mary brought: Loving the Little Years.  It was just a fun book on Motherhood that really helped open my eyes and change my perspective.  What a gift! (More to come on what I learned. . .)
