LOVING going for walk early this morning with Tirzah. There was just this longing in me to get outside and breath that deep and luxurious Washington air. Go with me, for just a moment, and imagine you are camping. Now imagine you open the tent in the morning, take a look outside at the trees in the fresh morning air and you breathe deeply of nature's fragrance. That was what I was going for this morning. And the amazing thing? I received it! Just walking a few steps from our home, we experienced that very moment. It was amazing and so refreshing. I layered Tirzah in a crazy outfit, set her in the stroller with her blankie and a second cup of milk, slid on my flip flops and my husband's black Northface (a funny combo. . . yes. . . ) and we were out the door. Thank you Lord!
LOVING stopping by Raindrops and Rainbows on a whim this morning as we were returning home from post. This litte place is a just like a mini children's museum... except it is free! We had an hour or so before she needed to go down for her nap, and it was wonderful to see her play so well there. She was LOVING the baby dolls, the 4 high chairs, the baby stroller, and playing outside with all the mini cars.
LOVING canning Romano beans with Melissa this afternoon. No pictures yet. . .
LOVING eating Melissa's homemade Beet ice cream! It was the definition of gourmet itself with poppy seeds and mascarpone cheese. Sounds quite strange, but it was actually a delightful treat. And the very color of purple wildflowers.
LOVING going to the Sound late this afternoon with Tirzah. We had a delightful walk down to the water's edge. It was so fun to see her explore and get dirty! Truly, she had dirt everywhere, even all across her right cheek. It was a tell-tale sign that she was LOVING life!
LOVING watching Tirzah LOVE chocolate
LOVING Tirzah in ballet slippers. These were hand me downs from my friend Janelle and they don't quite fit her perfectly yet, but she was having so much fun running around the house with them!
LOVING emailing with my husband every day! What an absolute blessing it is to see his name in my inbox and to read his words almost every night before I go to bed. His email is: daniel.shear@my.wheaton.edu if you would like to send him a little note ! He would LOVE it.
LOVING Aster flowers from the farm.
LOVING and hating all the dark chocolate left over from our chocolate party last week. I am LOVING the taste, but I am hating that I have so much left and I just can't stop myself until it is all gone!
LOVING the adventure of canning one 1/2 pint jar of crushed tomatoes tonight . . . by myself. . . with tomatoes from our garden. I will let you know how it goes! It is such a small amount, but I have to work with what my plants are producing!
LOVING my husband deeply and sincerely and thinking of him always.
LOVING this moment as I wait for the video to process. . . the sound of water boiling in the canning process, the sounds of Bach playing through the house, settling in for the night with round two of One Thousand Gifts.
And for all of these, I am grateful.
