LOVING that you don't have to sign in right to view this blog?! Well, I was locked out of my own blog somehow, so I thought, this just has to go ! Hopefully it is making your life a little bit more simple as well. . . thanks for bearing with it and for being so patient through the whole privacy act!
LOVING our memories of Disney on Ice. My friend Alison and her daughter Lucy, along with Tirzah and I, celebrated deployment being almost over (well it is over for them!!) by treating ourselves to a Saturday afternoon of Disney on Ice Dare to Dream. And can I just say that it was amazing!! Tirzah was beside herself with excitement. I kept telling her that we were going to see a movie on ice. . . and she loves all things movies, especially when there are animals or more importantly horses involved, so she was quite excited even before we arrived. By my goodness I had no idea how much she was going to love the show! She was dancing and clapping and SO into everything that was going on on the ice. And she kept screaming in excitement and pointing wildly for the man next to us, just to make sure he wasn't missing anything out there!
These pictures are NOT great at all, but at least they give you a little idea! |
The set was absolutely amazing! |
And so then it was, the Tangled portion began. And Flinn Rider came out of the ceiling right in front of us. Oh my goodness did Tirzah fall in love! She was scrambling all over me, like her life depended on it, scrambling to stand up in my lap so that she could be closer to Flinn. And she stood there on my lap, arm and hands flailing wildly, waving to him frantically. She was LOVING it!
But then, sadly, she did not LOVE one bit when it was over. The poor girl just lost it! She cried the whole way out, all the way to the car and for a few minutes in the car. She only stopped when Alison, wisely told her that all the animals, especially the "neigh" had to go home too so that they could eat dinner and sleep and be with their Mamas. That seemed to quiet her. As Alison also said, "she fell in love and she had her heart broken all in one night!"
Here she is crying. . . |
Check out this You Tube video of the highlights. . . it truly was magical! And yes! Marlene, we saw everything on this video!!
LOVING skype dates with Anna and Meredith
LOVING skype dates with my husband.
LOVING that we have less than 2 months now! He has a homecoming date. . . but I am not supposed to say it online. But just know that it is for sure less than 2 months now and I can hardly stand it!
LOVING that Alison's husband is home now. Praise the Lord for his safety! LOVING being a part of their homecoming ceremony yesterday. I can not wait to share pictures/videos of our own celebration, for truly, there is nothing like it in all the world. I have goosebumps even now remembering the celebration of yesterday! It is so hard to explain but it just feels like there is this feeling and this emotion floating through the air, like, this is what it means to serve.
LOVING my family coming in next week for Thanksgiving! Michael arrives on Monday and then everyone else, Danae, and my parents, and long-awaited Elliott arrive on Tuesday! What joy we have ahead of us.
LOVING having over half of my shopping done. . . thanks to Trader Joe's.
LOVING looking over at Tirzah one day and seeing her like this:
She put her baby doll up her shirt to pretend she was pregnant! She has been really curious about babies in mommy's tummies. . . but I had no idea that it was really registering!!
LOVING too that I looked over the other night and she had the table set just like this: a gord for everyone!
