Here is What I'm LOVING today!
LOVING curry powder. Yes, yes. This is a first for me, and for Daniel as well! But I am really really loving this spice. First really loved it during a Ladie's Night during deployment with Alison, then loved it with a girl's lunch out with Great Grandmother in Florida. And now, am LOVING it at home in a curried vegetable bisque. SO so good!
LOVING my new switch to tea. I know. I can't believe it either. Normally, I am ALL about the coffee and can never get enough of it. And I am not quite sure, exactly, what happened! It was just one afternoon when I reheated a cup of coffee. . . and it was not the same anymore. Now don't get me wrong, I am sure in just a few short weeks I will be back to my french press a day dose of coffee. But right now? I am really enjoying this season of all things tea. I have been LOVING Harney & Sons Royal English Breakfast (thanks to Aunt Carol!!) in the morn with just a touch of cream and honey. I use that tea bag for 2 steeps and then switch to Earl Grey or Lady Grey for the afternoon cuppas. The past few days I have had 5 or 6 cups. . . is that altogether bad?? Even so, I am LOVING it. Of course, Tirzah is too!
LOVING my Mama's old wool sweater. It was her favorite back in the day and I found it in her closet while we were there in September. It is my absolute new favorite. Helps these February rainy days to pass all the more cozier.
LOVING working in the children's rooms this morning at Bible Study Fellowship. It was our turn to volunteer there, and I had a great time. I worked in the class that Tirzah will attend next year. What a delightful thing to be a part of! There was such structure and I couldn't believe the amount of songs they sang and the number of activities they did: it was exhausting but so wonderful as well.
LOVING the writings of Elizabeth Goudge. Danae recommended her to me while we visited Galiano Island together last fall and I have enjoyed every page since. Hoping to go sneak on the couch and finish The Pilgrim's Inn!
Tirzah is LOVING her new barnyard puzzle from Great Grandmother. . . thank you!
And I am always LOVING my husband and more and more so everyday LOVING how handsome he is. . . I mean, seriously!
Having his uniform inspected yesterday |
Tea and reading by the light of the dawn
Quiet, unhurried moments to begin the day- especially when I had expected her morning to begin so early!
A sunny run to the park
Fresh carrot juice in mason jars, tucked into the stroller for a treat at the park
Pretending, with sweet Tirzah, to drive and visit each of these states: Alaska to Idaho (we were going through the states alphabetically and I have to admit. . . that was really hard for me to do!)
Seeing her delight in all things cooking
Rich and fulfilling sleep
Early morning laughter with my best friend
That hilarious message from Marlene: how excited her voice was and yes, the sound of turkeys in the background.
What do you find yourself LOVING today?
