What I'm LOVING

LOVING having his presence back home here. It was a week yesterday that he returned from 3 weeks in Singapore, and oh how thankful we are to have him back. Michael and Danae were here with us to welcome him home, but he ended up surprising us all! We were planning to pick him up on post at 5 when he took us completely by surprise here at home at 3! I have always wondered while taking a shower if I will know someone is sneaking up on me. . . I did not have a clue when all of a sudden he was standing right there!! Needless to say: a wonderful surprise. . . With a few semi-scared squeals!


LOVING "meeting" baby for the first time last week with the ultrasound. LOVING that Daniel and Tirzah were able to be in the room. LOVING seeing Tirzah's compassionate nature as she kept asking the Dr. if I was going to be alright, if I had to get a shot, and if that was a band-aid for me. LOVING that everything looks good and the baby is healthy. Thank you Lord.


LOVING friends who take your children for 7 hours so you can steal away with your husband. LOVING taking a ferry to Bainbridge Island just to have dinner. LOVING that blackberry ice cream and LOVING that view on the ferry ride back.


LOVING foraging: wild blackberry hunts and finding wild plums. LOVING spending a Saturday morning as a family deep in acres of blueberries, picking 20 pounds. LOVING seeing her with a little basket and boots, picking at her own little bush. LOVING blueberry coffee cake on Sunday morning.


LOVING helping at VBS this week at church, having my own little group and seeing Tirzah delight in all of her little activities. LOVING practicing our dances together at home.


LOVING meals from the garden. Daniel's new bread recipe, toasted with coconut oil and Michael and Danae's raspberry jam.

LOVING all things blooming... Especially this tummy! :)
