It's Daniel's Birthday!
His chocolate cake just came out of the oven, and I almost had a heart attack as I turned them upside down to cool, and one of the 8 inch cakes broke in half. Oh my. BUT: glory to God! The other came out fully intact! Guess the messy one will be on the bottom and hopefully he will just never know! It looks good so far! And we can't wait to cook that tri-tip, roast some potatoes, cook up some cornbread, and fix a salad.
We do need your prayers this week: Daniel said it will be the busiest and most hectic week of IBOLC. It is a wonderful gift that it is only a 4 day week, but goodness they are jam packed with crucial elements for graduation. First, he had his PT test this morning, and just called saying he maxed it!! Woo Hoo! Next, he has another OPORD, this one apparently will be even harder than the last. And he only has 2 nights to work on it. Prayers please for wisdom, diligence, focus, and understanding and support on my part! He has a 12 mile ruck march on Wednesday morning, and also throughout these 4 days he has 2 exams. Whew! We covet your prayers and thoughts.
