Always Kiss me Goodnight

It's such a cozy night here in Columbus, Georgia.  The rain is trickling, Tirzah is tucked into bed, Daniel is chatting away with our neighbor Jimmy, snacking on strawberry licorice.  What a gift today has been with a trip to our favorite grocery store: The Fresh Market for some little treats.  One of these is Chocolate Covered pretzels filled with Peanut Butter... really enjoying one of them at this moment, actually.  We had a beautiful heart to heart conversation that helped me to better understand myself, we finished watching Quo Vadis, and we are preparing to curl up on the couch to each lose ourselves in our books.

Two more things to share with you, a new favorite fruit: Mango Nectarine!!  We treated ourselves to one from The Fresh Market, and wow have our eyes been opened!

Here is a little look into our nightly tradition of putting Tirzah to bed.  After her bath, we get her jammies on,
we sing How Great Thou Art,
we pray a blessing over her,
May the Lord bless you & keep you
May the Lord make his face shine upon you & be gracious to you
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you & give you peace
In the name of the Father
the Son
& the Holy Spirit
and we kiss her with utmost delight.

But before the singing begins, Daniel carries on a tradition which his Father started: asking Tirzah whether she would like a tickle or a story... it has been our experience that Tirzah always asks for a tickle!
