Any one for a stroll?

Here is What I'm Loving today

Absolutely LOVING that I received a surprise call from my Soldier last night!  It was but five minutes long, but they were perfect minutes, I can tell you that.  Two nights in a row to hear from him!  Glory!!

LOVING that he called, all the way across the World, just to assure me of his love and well-being.  What a husband I have.  He's incredible.

LOVING homemade lattes with whole milk and honey.  The Lord promised the Israelites a land flowing with milk and honey.  I think my promised land would have to include one more item: a land flowing with milk, honey, and coffee.  Mmmm, yes please!

LOVING making breakfast this morning and finding Tirzah like this:

She had crawled right into a basket underneath the desk and was reading to herself!

LOVING the "mama" time I have had these past two days.  I have been "swapping babies" with two of my dear girlfriends here in Washington.  One day I will watch their daughters, and then another day, they will watch Tirzah for me.  So yesterday, sweet Alison watched Tirzah while I went to the grocery store.  I know it sounds unimpressive, but let me tell you, to have the freedom to just meander through the store with coffee in hand and have the leisure to look at everything and just make the store simple, that is a gift beyond measure.  In comparison to a normal grocery run with Tirzah in the backpack getting her lollipop stuck in my hair and sweat beads dripping down my arms trying to finish the Self Check-out line without Mrs. Machine getting mad with me.  It's just stressful!!  So yesterday was a gift.  And today, I went and got a hair cut.  A relaxing wash and a fun conversation was just what this Mama needed.  Especially as we start to pack for Hawaii, a trim was just the thing.

LOVING talking with my dear friend Hope so much.  Just LOVE it.

LOVING reuniting with a friend.  She and her husband are stationed in Hawaii and we are going to see them while we are there!

LOVING that we have just 4 more wake-ups until Papa and Yoyo are here.  They will be here until the beginning of July, which is such an answer to prayer!  Praise God He has seen us through this first long stretch of alone time.  I am so thankful for their soon to be presence in our home.

LOVING Tirzah's new found love: her umbrella stroller!  I think I have already written about this, but seriously!  It is her new favorite pastime.  I will push her around, and then she will push Baby Doll or a book or even Elliott's collar around the house.  It is so stinking cute!

LOVING Trader Joe's and all their snacks.  That is where I went yesterday and I think I could have bought one of everything in that store.

LOVING absolutely LOVING this song: Take a Back Road by Rodney Atkins  (I don't know if I am LOVING the music video so much, but at least listen to the song and don't watch the video! )  Truly though, it just makes my soul dance!

LOVING having mail to open; both packages and letters.

LOVING this list of gifts that is endless:

230.  Warmth and sunshine after the rain

231.  The heaviness of a good sleep in the early morning

238.  Popcorn and green tea on a Saturday night

239.  Having our first coffee date: my daughter and I

240.  Receiving word of him through a friend

241.  Crawling into cool sheets and spending 3 hours there during the Sabbath!  One hour praying, one hour reading, and one hour sleeping.  The perfect day of rest!

242.  The caramelized onion and chevre croissant I bought at the market this morn.  Delightful

243.  Seeing newly-weds at church

244.  Giggling with Tirzah while she took her bath

246.  The Lord just providing and passing simple hours at home

247.  Finding blankie after she fell out of the stroller on our walk!

249.  Tirzah biting into a peach and the juices just flowing down in tasty sugary delight

252.  The little plop plop sound of my daughter's feet as she walks

255.  Her thoughtfulness: how she waves goodbye to the bees, the field, to the birdies

260.  Renee calling in the middle of the night just to let me know he had called her too

As always I am LOVING my husband, my best friend, my Soldier who fights daily for my freedom and protection

This is him!  As I walk down the aisle and give my hand, my heart, my life

  1. Oh, Fawn, I have LOVED reading your blogs!! Your words are beautiful and lead me to pray for you, Tirzah and Daniel. We LOVE having Renee so close and seeing her when she has time! So looking forward to hearing how your Hawaii time is- and that you'll be with my sister, Druid, my brother in law Sam and my dear neice Mia, what a treat for me to think about!! Hugs to you and love, sweet Fawn!!
